BSG

I just finished the last episode of Season Two of the New Battlestar Galactica Series. I've been hooked on the series since the first season. I've gotta tell you that this is one of the best TV series that I have ever seen. IMO the stories are well written, the characters are believable, and the plots are rock solid. If you haven't caught on yet, please give it try, it's not some cheesy Sci-Fi Channel Movie (they sure have many). Trust me you'll end up feeling the pains and joys of each character on the show, then again, maybe I'm just a softy.

Yuzu, where are you?

My search for Yuzu is almost over. I found a farm in California that sells dwarf citrus trees and I just couldn't resist. Hopefully, my yuzu tree will arrive this week. I'll post some pics when I repot it. I've already found some great recipes that can take advantage of the Yuzu fruit (mmmmm.... Yuzu sorbet), but I doubt I'll see any fruit until next year.

I'm hit!!! I'm hit!!!

Gotta love the 360...

I've been addicted to playing Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter recently. It doesn't help that my frends are also addicted to it as well. Playing a couple of Co-op missions definitely can burn some daylight. Playing GRAW on a XBOX 360 in widescreen HD is enough to make a grown man shed a tear of joy.

I realized how Paintball-ish the battles could get (less the pain and paint) and how it's a decent substitute for the game when I can't make it out to the field. Oh my trigger finger is getting itchy again.....

Buried Treasure

I came across these pics just now, buried deep inside my computer files and folder hierarchy. The first two pics show 4 month old Little Kaiser opening a present given to him by my coworker. It looks like he enjoyed tearing into the wrapping and ribbons more than the present itself... aren't all little boys like that? (note all his toys littered aout the background; it's still like that now, at 1.5 years)

After a short while, he lost interest in the packaging and became curious about my camera.

After all that excitement, albeit short, he became really pooped and collapsed into puppy power nap...

This little guy kept me up all night last night... growling and barking at things I couldn't hear but apparently he could. This resulted in a zombie like trance that kept with me until I got to work. Wish I could take a puppy power nap.

Morimoto-san, we're baaaaack!!!!!

Thanks to a dear old friend, me and my wife will get to enjoy a meal at Morimoto's tonight. He's celebrating a raise he just got and was thoughtful and generous enough to share the wealth. What a guy! Hmmmm.... now what should I have? Omakase anyone? He said we could choose anything between $$$ and $$$$..... Hehehehehehe, already lovin' the options!

My "in-laws" (the younger ones) and I were there to celebrate my wifey's birthday earlier this year.... I was just wondering when we'd go back.... Hope the food is still good. Then again, it's Morimoto's, can't be that bad, right?

My dog's a dawg!

Summer love.....

So this is Little Kaiser's girlfriend, Poker. (the one on the left)

It took just one play date and they were hooked! Finally Little Kaiser found someone who can keep up with him. The Jack Russell Terriers sure have speed!

P-Ball

So there we were, out in Coram, LI. Thirty folks out for a friendly game of P-Ball. I was definitely so hopped up on anticipation. New field, new marker, new gear, and new playmates. The heat wave had finally broke and the weather, though warm, was becoming more P-Ball compatible.

After we arrived at the parking lot, we decided to gear up, in front of several awestruck NOOBs. There we were strapping on our gear, throat mics, air tanks, knee pads, and body armor. Some friends I knew came over and told use how the NOOBs were feeling a little intimidated. I'm not quite sure why ;-D

As the day progressed, our group of thirty grew to know each other. Our team did fairly well. In fact too well. We had to remix the teams a bit.

The downer was that one of my team members got hurt jumping into a bunker. Upon landing, he sprained his ankle and strained his knee. I dropped him off at a hospital to get things checked out, good news is, it's not serious, bad news is, he couldn't make it to his new job. He had to postpone his start date a week.

So, where's my wife in all this you ask? She spent the day at home taking care of things on the homefront. She's such a trooper!

Welcome to Kaiser's Adventure...

Ha! This is my first post. I set this up in a real hurry just to test it out. Keep coming back for updates real soon.

Kaiser is my nickname, but it's also our dog's name. If you're wondering, no, this is not gonna be all about our dog. He gets enough attention as it is. Can you blame him? (look below)
